The Pelmberg open-air museum was officially opened in 1970. As a museum also needs catering, a nice, fine inn called "Pelmbergstüberl" was built right next door. My wife Denisa and I, Roland Döberl, have leased this gem since 2000. We are located here at around 800 metres above sea level, north of the provincial capital Linz, between Hellmonsödt and Oberbairing in an extremely beautiful hiking and cycling area. A cosy guest garden invites you to enjoy the sunshine above the fog line almost all year round. An adventure playground with slide, swings and sandpit is available for our younger guests. The Pelmberg open-air museum is open from May to October and offers a wonderful insight into rural life over the last 700 years. You can stop off at our inn all year round and enjoy a warm meal every day until 7.00 pm. We are open daily from 10.00 a.m., closing days are Monday and Tuesday except public holidays Let us spoil you with a roast pork fresh from the oven or a schnitzel from the Kaiser section fried in clarified butter. Enjoy the fantastic view of the entire Alpine foothills. Forget the worries of everyday life with a homemade pastry on our sunbed. Since May 2010, a small viewing platform with a telescope has been available for you to experience the mountains of the Alpine foothills up close. Since this year we offer you the opportunity to visit our web camera on the Internet at http://www.oeberoesterreich.at/webcams.
