The quality of the meat is guaranteed by a local master butcher, the game comes from our own hunt and the bread comes from the neighbouring bakeries. As an ideal accompaniment to the food, we recommend the most valuable beer in Austria, which has been brewed just a few metres from the Stiftskeller since 1580 and actually ends up in the cooking pot. The Stiftskeller is a great place to eat, drink, celebrate and enjoy. Our team will be happy to spoil you with traditional delicacies and culinary specialities. We also serve freshly tapped Schlägl beer and fine wines - a treat for body and soul! The rooms around the old brewhouse - where the brewery was housed until 1954 - provide the perfect setting for a wide variety of occasions: from a romantic dinner for two in one of the cosy barrels, to social gatherings in the taproom with its typical cellar-like cosy atmosphere of stone vaults, to larger parties - such as weddings or christenings - in the Martin Greysing Hall.
