Length: 6.8 km, walking time 2 h 30 min, total ascent 459 m In 1342, the tithe box was established by the parish of St. Leonhard (donor Hans von Kapellen). There had been priests in St Leonhard at times earlier (than 1342), but their income was so low that none of them could survive. To put an end to this evil, Hans von Kapellen allocated the priests a secure income, namely the tithe had to be paid to the parish priest of Gutau. The tithe box of the parish priest of Gutau was set up in Dirnberg 5. The large tithe consisted of the yields from the fields (grain, etc.), garden, house (animals), etc. Flax, eggs and money were delivered as small tithe. The small tithe was paid until 1880. Records of this were burnt around 1900. The tithe box was renovated in 1999 and can be visited at any time. The farmers had to pay the tithe to their landlord in the Zehentstöckl. The term tithe refers to the traditional tax of around ten per cent in the form of money or goods to religious and secular institutions. The tithe box can be viewed at any time on request.
