About the church: The idyllically situated church was built as a chapel in 1658, enlarged in 1781 and in 1785 Kaltenberg became its own parish. From 1798 to 1803, the present church was built, which is dedicated to the Visitation of the Virgin Mary. It consists of a single-nave nave and 2 pairs of double pilasters divided into 3 bays. A late Gothic Madonna from the first half of the 15th century with a Joachim Prugger organ adorns the church.
