In gratitude he put up the cross column. A wooden chapel was built. Leonfeld citizens brought a picture of Mary from Maria Zell to the chapel. 1755-1761: New chapel, consecrated on September 7, 1761 by Abbot Alan Aichinger von Wilhering, patronal feast "Maria Schutz beim Bründl". The high altar received the new protective mantle. Statues: Joachim and Anna, Benedikt and Bernhard. 1778-92: Extension of the pilgrimage church. Ceiling fresco (Nativity) by Andreas Kitzberger, student of Martin Johann Schmidt / Kremser Schmidt. Side altars are in neo-baroque style. Altarpieces by Johann Grandauer, portrait painter by Adalbert Stifter. 1904: organ by Breinbauer from Ottensheim. 1986-87 total renovation of the quarries with well drilling under Pastor Father Michael Wolfmair O.Cist.
