Its striking water wheel is reminiscent of the days when farmers used to grind their grain and saw their timber into planks here. The mill lay dormant for a long time before owner Friedrich Robeischl and his family lovingly restored it over many years. Today, he is happy to guide visitors into the mysterious world of the millers, revealing many a "Pfoachtl" of the mill builders and telling of the joys and dangers of life on and with the river.
