Schärdinger's town hall dates back to 1594, when two patrician's houses were joined together to create a new Rathaus. Having suffered servere fire damage in 1809, it was restyled several times in the Neo-Gothic and Neo-Baroque styles. The Council Room on the first floor contains frescos by Brof.
