Alter Turm Haslach

Old tower and curtain wall.

On a walk around the textile fair in Haslach you can visit the old tower and the curtain wall. Today only parts of the south and west curtain walls, two rondels and the gate tower are left of the once majestic fortification (closed curtain wall, two big towers in the northwest and east and four rondels). The isolated spire, an old defence tower with massive walls (up to 2 meters thick) had a closed parapet walk until 1906, now there is an open galery. There are guided tours for groups where you can learn a lot about the history in Haslach. One tour lasts about an hour.
