**Classic city tour**
Duration 90 minutes

On the way through the alleyways of Freistadt's old town, you will experience the historic flair of the medieval brewing town and gain an insight into the eventful history of which the mighty fortifications with their towers and gates still bear witness today.
**Night watchman tour**
Duration 90 minutes
only possible for 1 group of up to 20 people € 105,-
Marvel at the illuminated town on a tour with our night watchman and listen to the exciting stories.
**Freistadt underworld (cellar tour)**
Duration 90 minutes
Group up to 20 persons € 105,- (one guide)
Groups of 21 or more € 210,- (two guides)
Cellars in Freistadt - a world of their own. A world that was very closed until recently. It opens up again and reveals rooms with huge vaults, mysterious corridors and enigmatic signs. (sturdy shoes!)
**Tower tour**
Duration 90 minutes
Group up to 20 persons € 105,- (one guide)
Groups of 21 or more € 210 (two guides)
Freistädter Turmrunde: 7 towers and 2 gates are the focus of this tour - tower climbing included!
Tower ascent included! (sturdy shoes required).
**Note:** Cellar and tower tours can only be taken by groups of less than 21 people at the same time.
**Beer spiking**
Duration 60 minutes
Group up to max. 20 persons € 105,-
plus € 3.50 per person for a tasting
In the Stadtschmiede, an iron rod - the beer spike - is heated to approx. 600 degrees and then slowly immersed in a cool beer (6-7 °C) for two to three seconds. The heat causes the sugar to caramelize and the foam to rise. This not only changes the temperature, but also creates an unmistakable taste experience.

A guided tour on the trail of the "Freistadt national drink". Beer has been brewed here for as long as Freistadt has existed. But it's not just the citizens who make the beer, the beer also makes the town. A guided tour in the footsteps of breweries and pubs, a tour through Freistadt's beer history, which often had an impact beyond the city limits.
**Guided tour for children**

When was the first water pipe laid in Freistadt? And what is a spy window? If you want to find out, then the children's city tour is the right place for you!
Including a quiz and a little surprise at the end!
**Evening tour of the old town**
Duration 60 minutes
The classic city tour as a leisurely evening stroll - a free offer from the city of Freistadt. This offer is not valid for groups. No registration required. Meeting point is every Friday from May to September at 7.00 pm in the outer castle courtyard.
**Fiery forging demonstrations**
Get to know the old blacksmith's craft in the romantic Thurytal valley. You can also lend a hand yourself and forge your own Thurytaler!

**Accessibility / arrival**The tourist office is located directly in the centre of Freistadt behind the town hall. Drive into the town centre and turn left into the second alley (Waaggasse) after the tobacconist. The office is on the right-hand side (second building).
