Belongs to the parish of Ottnang since 1750. Independent parish since 1784. The core of the building is Gothic. First extension with a cupola by Leonhard Endthofer in 1702, remodelling and addition of the second cupola by Johann Michael Prunner in 1729. Great market fire in 1864. West tower with pointed spire 1867/68. Originally the tower stood to the south of the choir nave, above the sacristy. Baroque high altar until 1890, followed by historicist furnishings. The interior was remodelled in 1972 as a parish church in the spirit of the Second Vatican Council. In the 1970s and 80s, local artists and craftsmen designed the organ case **(** Franz Bachmayr), the statue of St George **(** Johannes and Martin Schildberger), the altar **(** Fritz Gast), **tabernacle**, Bible stand and candlesticks **(** Franz Bachmayr) and the St George fresco **on** the outer wall (Franz Bucar).
