Back then, he decided to breed chickens instead of pigs and we have been marketing eggs and potatoes ever since. It was particularly important for us to develop a consistent marketing concept. Starting with the logo, standardised clothing through to the website, Facebook and now also an Instagram page. We produce our own apple juice and mixed juices (e.g. our sea buckthorn apple juice; we get the sea buckthorn from a partner farm in Upper Austria), cider and cider specialities such as our mixed cider or elderberry frizzante, barn eggs, potatoes, diluted juices, schnapps and liqueurs. In our farm shop, we also stock products from selected farms in the region, which expand our product range. We see this as a service to our customers, as it allows us to offer a varied selection of products. Depending on the season, we have fruit and vegetables, bacon, liver sausage, cheese, dairy products, various flours, spices, jams, oils, honey, pasta and pumpkin seed products. As the regionality and origin of the products is very important to us, we only offer products that are actually available in the region. (If the harvest is poorer or products are no longer available, they are simply not available in our farm shop. But our customers really appreciate that). We keep 1500 chickens on our farm, currently still in barn housing. There will soon be a building for free-range hens. We grow around 15 different varieties of potatoes. If a customer wants to cook a particular dish, we can recommend exactly the right variety. - Bacon varieties such as Anabelle, Evita, Ditta or Kipfler are suitable for salads - Mashed potatoes and dough are best made with floury varieties such as Agria, Toska or Melody - For side dishes, you can use waxy potatoes (we call them "half/half") such as Colomba, Laura, Erika or Ranomi.
