In species-appropriate husbandry and on large pastures, there are currently around 30 animals living with us. These are also available for viewing. Our idea was to be able to offer something UNIQUE from the region! If you would like to know more about these animals, you can read more here:- The ostrich is the largest existing bird on earth, but it is not able to fly. - Its sense of sight is impressive, it can see up to 3.5 km away. - It can grow up to 3 metres tall and weigh 160 kg. - Ostrich eggs have a diameter of approx. 15 cm, the content corresponds to approx. 25 chicken eggs. - The incubation period is approx. 40 to 42 days. - Ostriches peck at everything in their path, but are herbivores. .
