Attergaustraße to Praterstern This hike requires a fair amount of stamina and endurance, but it rewards you time and again with magnificent views of the lake! The starting point is the parking lot next to the **Musikerheim / fire station**. From there, the route follows the road toward **Wachtberg** until it reaches the **Rosenrondell**, where you’ll find numerous hiking trail signs.Following the signs **for “Rund um den Wachtberg,”** the trail continues to the entrance to the **Auweg** below the **Hubertus House**. From there, the route leads through the forest to the **Bruckbacher**. The trail continues along the official **Wachtberg loop trail** to the **Gupfalm** turnoff. A steep boardwalk leads up to the forest road. There, the route continues to the right along the forest road to the **Gupfalm**. The Gupfalm is privately owned but offers a beautiful view of Lake Attersee. The route then continues through the forest over the **Gupf** ( **948 m** ) and down to the forest road. It continues on to **Praterstern / Krahbergsattel**. From here, the route follows the **Josefweg** and the signs toward **Alexenau**. Finally, the trail leads back to the starting point via the **Dr.-Gleißner-Weg**.
