Day 1: From RH Stöglehner in Rainbach (700 m above sea level) on NW with magnificent views over the generous high plateau landscape, then downhill through the forest to St. Peter (km 8; 580 m). From there 4 km along the GW to the town walls of medieval Freistadt. This is followed by 7 km of meadow and forest paths over the Lasberger Alm (750 m above sea level) along the Nordwaldkammweg with magnificent views of Freistadt, Lasberg and St. Michael ob Rauchenödt. From the 22nd kilometre onwards, the forest path leads downhill to the Lasberg/St. Oswald road. On the last 3 km, you have to climb 170 metres above sea level on forest and meadow paths and a short section of gravel road to the Hiaslbauer riding hostel at the foot of the Braunberg (km 27; 750 m). Sights along the bridle path: St. Peter's pilgrimage church, Linzertor Freistadt. Peter, Linzertor Freistadt, Hofbauerkapelle Member businesses along the bridleway: Stöglehner Riding Hostel in Rainbach, Hiaslbauer Riding Hostel in Grensberg Day 2: From Hiaslbauer 12 km of wonderful bridleways across the high plateau with only 20% gradient to Greindl Riding Hostel in Untermarreith (km 12; 890 m) or Klein Riding Hostel in Obermarreith (km 12.5; 890 m) with fantastic views across the landscape of the Mühlviertler Alm. The next 5 km lead along a beautiful NW route without any significant gradient across the Mühlviertel plateau landscape at 900 m above sea level. Forest grass, blueberries and stone walls accompany you along the bridleway with less than 20% tarmac to the new stables of the Stauber family in Sandl (km 31; 930 m). Overnight stay at the neighbouring inn or at the neighbour's beautiful private accommodation. Day 3: 9 km NW along Klaubsteinwälle, over blueberries and forest grass through the high forests around the Viehberg to the RR Lukawirt and RR Reiterrast Forellenwirt to Mitterbach. From there 3 km on the GW and 2 km NW downhill to the crossing of the road to Grünbach (km 14; 780 m). Continue NW downhill to Lichtenau with marvellous views over the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel. Through the village of Lichtenau and NW to Hintermühle on the Feldaist (km 18.5; 680 m). On the gravel path uphill and through Rainbach to RH Stöglehner (km 20; 700 m).
