Starting at the baroque monastery church, trail nr. 1 first leads along the road (Austraße). After about 15 minutes the path turns off to the left, leads onto a bridge over the A9 highway and then into the forest. The path is a bit steeper in parts until it leads into a forest road directly to the Gleinkersee. The path ends at the parking area of the lake.
