Numerous benches at the start of this trail invite you to savour the fresh and healthy forest air. (After a few hundred metres, the Reitbergstraße branches off to the right, where you can reach the Reitsteig hiking trail). Continue along the gently ascending road, always close to the Saxener Bach stream. You now leave the forest and walk slowly uphill again through agricultural land. Suddenly the road splits into two sharply diverging sections. The turn-off to the left leads via the summer house either in the direction of Grein, Bad Kreuzen or Klam. However, the Lettenweg branches off to the right. You hike through a short section of forest and then enjoy the marvellous view of the Machland again. After a short stretch of flat terrain, the Lettenweg joins the Reitsteig, which you follow back to Saxen.
