Keeping right, the clearing of the "Schinders" is climbed up to the Schöpferböndl and after crossing the gate of Feichtau Alm, the Feichtau hut of the Steyr Alpine Club is soon reached. Hiking trail: 466 **Directions:** Following the marking of trail no. 466, you begin by crossing the military training area (Attention - opening hours!). Soon after, the marked hiking trail climbs next to the waterfalls of the Paltenbach to the Nicklbach footbridge (springs). Keeping right, the hike leads to the clearing of the "Schinders," which is crossed up to the Schöpferböndl. We cross the avalanche slope, which is only dangerous in winter, and reach the gate of the Feichtau Alm. From there, it is not far to the Feichtau hut of the Steyr Alpine Club. There, the path branches right towards the Large and Small Feichtau lakes – no one should miss the short detour to these small water bodies surrounded by dwarf pines and rock blocks at the foot of the Seehagelmauer. Straight ahead leads to the neighboring Feichtau Alm, which was built in 1996 on the site of the former Polz hut. North of it rises the 1,485 m high Sonntagsmauer, whose ridge covered with ancient forest is developed with a new themed circular trail. From here, you also overlook the valley of the Krumme Steyrling river up to the Ennstal pre-Alps. The descent is by the same route. Unsere Hütte ist eine einfache Selbstversorgerhütte, die auf einer kleinen Alm inmitten des Nationalpark Kalkalpen liegt. Nächtigungen sind von 1. Mai bis 31. Oktober ausschließlich nach vorheriger Anmeldung über das Online Reservierungsportal des Alpenvereins möglich. Es ist nicht möglich die Hütte exklusiv zu mieten. Informationen zur Vergabe des Schlüssels findet ihr im Menüpunkt Schlüssel. Das entzünden von Lagerfeuern ist im Bereich der gesamten Feichtaualm ausnahmslos verboten.
