[ Arrival ](#ttgCollapseAnreise) ---------------------------------- **Accessibility / arrival**The ascent to the wall is an experience in itself: A wonderful hike takes you from the Wurzeralm mountain station past the Brunnsteinersee lake and over the Rote Wand saddle to the foot of the Rote Wand. Calculate with 2 hours. **Tip:** The ascent with the funicular railway from Spital am Pyhrn is free with the [Pyhrn-Priel Cards](https://www.urlaubsregion-pyhrn-priel.at/en/pyhrn-priel-cards) free of charge. Alternatively, you can also ascend from Gleikersee via the [Dümlerhütte](https://www.urlaubsregion-pyhrn-priel.at/en/oesterreich-gastronomie/detail/102753/duemlerhuette.html). However, it is a total of around 950 metres to the foot of the wall. For a multi-day climb, the Dümlerhütte is a good place to stay overnight, as it is only around 45 minutes from there to the base of the wall.
