Sometimes the hilly landscape offers sweeping views of the Danube plain and the Bavarian Forest, at other times the pilgrim encounters a romantic stream valley or a small forest. The stage is problematic because there is little catering and therefore few accommodation options. For this reason, the small village of Pfakofen is suggested as a stage destination, where pilgrims can find accommodation in a guesthouse. The Wolfgang pilgrim will also want to visit the Wolfgangseiche near Neueglofsheim, even if it requires a small diversions.
