Just a few years ago, the sublime red kite, an impressive bird of prey, was extinct in Upper Austria. Recently, however, it has recognised the area around the Irrsee as a suitable habitat and is now an integral part of the landscape. This tour takes you through the breeding grounds of several pairs of red kites.



Tip: recognise a red kite by its forked tail and impressive size.
