from Salzburg:
Motorway exit Golling - Abtenau, Russbach, Gosau.
Gosau: At the Pass Gschütt junction turn left and continue for approx. 3km in the direction of Bad Goisern. After a large garage marked "Kressl" turn right onto Bärnbachstraße. After a few metres you will reach the house Hedwig Gamsjäger.

from Linz:
Motorway exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: After the Gosau-Vordertal sign, turn left after about 500m onto Bärnbachstraße. After a few metres you will reach the house Hedwig Gamsjäger.
                                                  
By bus (irregularly on Sundays):
From Bad Ischl: Bus direction Gosausee (Lake Gosau), get off at the bus stop "Gosau Bärnausiedelung". After approx. 150m turn left. You will reach the guesthouse after about 100m on the right hand side.

from Russbach: Bus direction Gosau, at the terminus "Gosau Abzweigung Pass Gschütt" change to the bus direction Bad Ischl, get off at the bus stop "Gosau Bärnausiedelung". After approx. 150m turn left. You will reach the guesthouse after approx. 100m on the right-hand side.
