The Sarsteinalm is one of the most beautiful hiking destinations in the Salzkammergut!
Hut is located at a height about 1.711 meters
After about 2.5 hours of hiking time from the Pötschenkehre in Bad Goisern at Lake Hallstatt you will reach the Sarsteinalm.
Attention: not to be confused with the Obertrauner Sarsteinhütte!
The cottage is managed during the summer months and offers accommodation for a maximum of 11 persons.

You can only reach the Sarsteinalm on foot. Sufficient mountain experience and good physical condition are required.

from Salzburg:
Exit Thalgau via federal road B158 towards Bad Ischl, in Bad Ischl drive onto Salzkammergut Street B145 towards Bad Goisern - St. Agatha - driveway towards Pötschenpass - turn 1 - slightly above - Pötschenkehre car park.
from Linz:
Exit Regau via federal road Salzkammergut street B145 towards Gmunden and Bad Ischl to Bad Goisern - St. Agatha - driveway towards Pötschenpass - turn 1 - slightly above - Pötschenkehre car park.
from Vienna/Graz:
Exit Liezen via federal road B320, in Trautenfels drive onto Salzkammergut street B145 via Pötschenpass - until just before turn 1 on the left-hand side of the Pötschenkehre car park.
from Villach:
Tauern motorway to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt federal road through Gosau, at the Gosaumühle junction turn towards Bad Goisern - in village of Au via the Erlenstraße in the direction of St. Agatha
and St. Agatha, driveway in the direction of Pötschenpass - turn 1 - slightly above - Pötschenkehre car park.
