Change your perspective at the highest point on the Freinberg in Linz: after climbing the steps, you are rewarded with a wonderful view of Linz, the Danube, Urfahr and the Pöstlingberg.
The Franz-Josef-Warte was built in 1888 in honor of the 40th anniversary of the office of Emperor Franz Josef. The plans were drawn up by Ignaz Scheck (Upper Austrian Construction Company). In 1912 a porter's apartment was added.
