Vitalwelt herb hikes
With our herb expert Maria Mach, you can hike through the Botanica Park in Bad Schallerbach, along the Trattnach and to other cosy spots in the Vitalwelt Bad Schallerbach holiday region every Wednesday from April to October.
During these two-hour hikes with month-specific themes, interested participants learn lots of interesting facts about recognising, correctly collecting and processing local wild herbs as well as magical and mystical facts from ancient times.
Vitalwelt weather walks
Every first Monday of the month, Vitalwelt turns the weather "from a problem into a programme" and has engaged the holistic weather observer Hans Gessl for this purpose . The weather journalist/columnist-known as Wetterhans-schlägt im Botanica-Park Bad Schallerbach exciting weather pages such as "Blooming weather messengers", animals as weather sensors, barometer trees, ways to weather elasticity, climate change, weather forecasting 150 years ago, folk cultural heritage farming rules, weather selfies etc.
Cycling in the Vitalwelt
The cycle tours are between 22 and 86 km long and take you on a circular route along the 300 km cycle path network through Vitalwelt. They score points with short climbs, wonderful views and numerous cider taverns and inns typical of the region.
You can order cycle maps for eventful holidays in advance or pick them up directly from the Bad Schallerbach and Gallspach tourist information offices.
E-bikes and e-mountain bikes can also be hired from the Bad Schallerbach tourist information office - please make sure you book here in advance.
