Our house is located between Pettenbach and Scharnstein . We offer home style cooking.

The house is at the foot of the Kaibling (Pettenbach's highest mountain with a wonderful view of the Almtal). At the summit, which you can reach from our guest house in about 30-45 minutes, there is a large peace cross illuminated on public holidays that was built by those who returned from the war. A way of the cross starting at the HL Church of the Choice. Leading with 14 stations leads to the mountain. Immediately next to the Freidenkreuz stood a 1000 year old oak that fell over a few years ago. This has been roofed over and is now available for children to climb as it is hollow.

You can also visit the in-house forest and bird nature trail. The paved circular path leads you, starting behind the inn, through a mixed forest with prepared birds, native animals, burrow, natural anthills, frog pools, water source with hand fountain and water wheel. The animals and plants are described in more detail on panels. From Pettenbach in the direction of Scharnstein you will find our company a little off the main road on the left. Follow the signs (near petrol station).

We are also the stop of the Traunstein taxi on Route 70 and therefore wonderfully accessible by public transport (connection to the Steinbachbrücke Almtalbahn stop) or from Scharnstein or from Pettenbach and Vorchdorf.

In high summer, our menu is dominated by crispy salads, light pasta dishes and fresh garden vegetables. Grilled dishes and freshly caught fish are also in the foreground!
