Konditorei Zauner – enjoy tradition in the present

Since 1832 Konditorei Zauner, has welcomed the people of Ischl and visitors to the Kaiserstadt with its sweet delicacies. It is one of Austria's leading cake and pastry shops renowned for its tradition and quality. Konditorei Zauner is a living reminder of the Kaiser's time in Bad Ischl. Alongside an impressive selection of pastries and coffee specialities, the building itself exudes a truly imperial flair.

Perhaps the most famous Zauner speciality is the Zaunerstollen which has been produced for over a century and is now Zauner's flagship product. A fine combination of nuts, sugar and nougat wafers, over 100,000 hand-made Zaunerstollen are made each year and sent all over the world.

The motto of Konditorei Zauner "Never forget your roots but still keep an eye on the future" runs like a red thread through the company's philosophy. All products are lovingly hand-made, with 24 pastry chefs working 7 days a week to ensure everything is fresh and served in the Austrian tradition.

In addition to the traditional main building in Pfarrgasse, with the largest pastry display in Austria, Zauners also offer their café on the Esplanade as another venue for culinary indulgence. The Esplanade Café has an extensive range of cakes, ice cream and traditional Austrian delicacies from the restaurant kitchen.
