Moser Alm

Mönchdorf, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • Garden / Patio

The Moser Alm is known for its exceptional cuisine. The concept? An overall experience consisting of food and matching drinks. We focus on exciting dishes that make you think, on products that speak for themselves and taste like what they are. This also applies to the traditional Kistenbratl, a Moser Alm classic.

From hearty and savoury to organic and Demeter to vegetarian and vegan, there is something for everyone!
The Moser Alm is located directly on the Mühlviertler-Alm riding trail network and on the hiking trail Wird-Net-Fad-Weg/ Koglerbergweg - the ideal hiking trail for your family. Here you will find a spacious area for your children - also to get to know our rabbits, cats, pot-bellied pigs, dwarf goats and our golden retriever Bruno.
For refreshments, stop off in our cosy parlour or enjoy the sunshine in the sheltered garden, where homemade pastries and a hearty snack await you.

Kitchen hours: hot meals are available from 11 am to 6 pmWe, the Lumetsberger-Danninger family, love being hosts. Because only in a pub can you immediately feel how happy the guest is:
It's never just about food & drink.
It's about an attitude to life.
The Moser Alm is situated on a marvellous hill, nestled in the gentle hilly landscape of the Mühlviertler Alm.
Regional and traditional specialities, homemade products in the ALM_Laden shop and the famous Kistenbratl roast await you! There are also selected top Austrian wines, regional beer, natural juices or seasonal homemade herbal and fruit juices. From hearty and savoury to organic and Demeter to vegetarian and vegan, there's something for everyone! As an aperitif or digestif, there are over 20 different types of gin, distillates from regional, award-winning distilleries and whisky from Peter Affenzeller.
You can enjoy your meal in the OFEN-Stüberl and ALM_Stüberl. Or you can enjoy the sunshine on the terrace or in the wind-protected conservatory. Children will find a spacious area to let off steam.
We have 4 guest houses and flats for those who enjoy intensive holidays.
Many hiking trails and circular routes lead past the Moser Alm:

  • the Wird-Net-Fad-Weg - the ideal hiking trail for families
  • the Koglerbergweg - for ambitious hikers
  • the Marterlweg - cosy and interesting

Trail riders are very welcome here in the heart of Europe's largest network of interconnected bridleways. 700 kilometres of perfectly signposted and well-maintained bridleways can be used. A paradise for horse and rider!

Horses are an important topic at the MOSER ALM. In addition to other horse breeds, 10 Lipizzaners live with us. Our Lipizzaners are also available in the rare colours black and brown.

The Moser Alm is also the ideal starting point for mountain bikers. You can spend days on the well signposted tours (M1 to M10). The Tour dé Alm is the best-known multi-day tour.
