The headquarters of the volunteer fire department Bad Goisern have been in the new security center in Bad Goisern since September 30th of 2017.
The security center is also a base for mountain rescue and water rescue and is centrally located on the B 145 near Hofer market.
The fire brigade Bad Goisern is also the organizer of the biggest Krampus run in the region,
the "Salzkammergut Krampuslauf", which takes place every year on the 7th of December.
