In recent years, various measures have been taken to revitalize the Schlossberg, both through public funding and through the initiative of private individuals. As a result, this local recreational area was created, and the site’s historical significance was taken into account.
1992: Renovation of the “Hohe Kreuzkapelle”2000: Construction of the Stations of the Cross leading to the “Hohe Kreuzkapelle”2007: Clearing work to create a viewing area overlooking the Salzburg Alpine foothills and planning of a vineyard; 2008: Planting of a vineyard with 216 vines; 2008: Construction of the Bible Trail leading to the “Hohe Kreuzkapelle”2009 Construction of the Legends Trail on the theme of “Fratricide at Friedburg”
