Schloss Innernsee

The most significant stately home in the municipality of Rottenbach is Innernsee, formerly a moated castle and later a water castle. The old Innernsee Castle stood on the “Haselwiese.” As was often the case elsewhere, the original structure was likely made of wood. It is no longer possible to say with certainty whether the Innernsee family rose from the peasantry to the knighthood.
