GMO-free feeding, grain feeding, no maize, (bacon quality). Our main products are bacon and raw ham. Thanks to our own maize-free feeding and the high slaughter weight, together with the stress-free slaughtering on the farm, we achieve a meat quality that is not available commercially for bacon production. Michlbauers Hofladen" in Pfaffstätt has been selling pork directly from the farm for 20 years.
Opening hours:
Wednesday to Friday: 7 am to 6 pm
Saturday: 8 am to 12 noon
Fresh meat is available on Thursday and Friday.
We cultivate 50 hectares of fields and have 550 fattening pigs (large groups of 50 animals) with straw bedding and outdoor runs. All the pigs are slaughtered on the farm at a weight of approx. 150 kg and most of them are processed into bacon or raw ham. As far as I know, there is no raw ham (prosciutto) on the market that is completely free of stabilisers (sodium ascorbate, ascorbic acid) like ours.
