Pestsäule
Wendling, Oberösterreich, Österreich
The plague column at the beginning of Wendling can look back on over 400 years of history. It had already been buried, but some people from Wendling remembered it and so the shrine was uncovered and renovated during excavation work.
The three reverse glass images depict St Wendelin, the Archangel Gabriel and St Florian. The original tin pictures could no longer be used.
The renovation is thanks to the Rockenschaub family, who selflessly allowed the Wendling plague column to shine in new splendour.
