The house name "Heimelsteiner" stands for the cosy and familiar atmosphere. You are very welcome at our riding centre as a trail rider, family and beginner. We will accompany you from your first lesson to becoming a saddle-fit trail rider.
You can look forward to our reliable warmblood horses. They are kept in horse-friendly open stables and are therefore familiar with the peculiarities of nature by day and night, making every trail ride a wonderful experience.
Trail riding is possible at any time of year with your own or one of our safe trail riding horses. The more than 500 kilometres of marked riding trails in the magnificent countryside give you an undreamt-of freedom.
We will accompany you from your first lesson to becoming an experienced trail rider. Location of the riding farm
Our traditional riding farm is situated in the hilly landscape of the Mühlviertel in a quiet, south-facing location. Surrounded by forests, meadows and granite stones, with views of the Danube valley and the Alps.
Facilities of the riding farm
2 double rooms with shower, separate WC, satellite TV and ADSL internet access, 1 family unit consisting of 2 double rooms with bathroom and separate WC, solarium, 4 youth rooms, a total of 30 beds, cosy rider's parlour, new: for your getaway holiday overnight stay in Uncle Tom's hut, guest horse boxes, grazing areas for your horse, barbecue areas, climbing garden for the children.
Catering at the riding stables
We spoil you with freshly cooked regional food, most of the produce comes from organic farms in the region, and we are also happy to offer full board on request.

Our horses are kept in open stables, so they know the peculiarities of nature by day and night, making every trail ride a wonderful experience. The more than 500 km of well-marked riding trails in the Mühlviertler Alm in the marvellous landscape give you an undreamt-of freedom.
Special features of the riding centre
Even for the non-riders in the family, the holiday will be an unforgettable experience. Flexible organisation of rides or riding times for your children allows plenty of time for activities and excursions together. Many leisure activities in the immediate vicinity await your visit. During the holiday season, your children will be supervised by our qualified childcare team and can take part in the wide range of holiday activities on offer.
