Attersee - activities on and in the water : diving, sailing, swimming and much more

The 47 km² large Attersee, is also often called "the sea of the Salzkammergut" because of its deep turquoise colour.

It is a popular year-round Eldorado for divers from all over Europe. With 26 signposted diving entry points, diving schools, diving centres and a depth of 171 metres at the so-called black bridge, it is the diving paradise of Austria. The rose wind, is especially popular with sailors. In the region Attersee-Attergau you will find not only the oldest sailing club of Austria but also numerous restaurants offer mooring possibilities with the sailing boat.

Or how about "summer freshness like back then" and discover the lake from a completely new perspective? Sporty by rowing boat or with a pedal boat - out on the glittering water surface of the Attersee thanks to boat rental or comfortably by water taxi to the other side of the lake! Enjoy the clear water and the wide landscape of the Attersee-Attergau region while doing water sports on and in the Attersee!

No matter what water sports you do on Lake Attersee, whether kayaking, water skiing & tire riding, surfing; fishing, SUP boarding, and more, or swimming on the generous public bathing areas of the province of Upper Austria as well as the adventure pools around Lake Attersee. The jump into the cool water - is not only fun but also offers relaxation, strength and energy!
