Strindbergmuseum Saxen

Saxen, Oberösterreich, Österreich

The only Museum, outside of Sweden, dedicated to the outstanding and world-famous writer.

The museum focuses on Strindberg´s time spent in Saxen and Klam between 1893 and 1896, and on the respective works. This fascinating exhibition on the Swedish writer gives an insight into the most interesting periods of his life, the author´s alchemistic manuscripts, his complicated relationship with his Upper Austrian wife Frida Uhl, and Strindberg´s important role in modern literature.
