Pilgrimage Church

St. Thomas am Blasenstein, Oberösterreich, Österreich
  • Suitable for groups

Around 1380, a small Romanesque church, which was located in today's nave, was converted into a pilgrimage church. Particularly worth seeing are the two Marian reliefs (Death of the Virgin Mary and Coronation of the Virgin Mary) and the vault keystones.

In the church there is the main altar (picture of St Thomas) with 4 side altars. The place is depicted in the Floriani altarpiece (1742).
At the rear entrance there is a larger-than-life crucifix with real head and beard hair (approx. 1530).
