The 2 town towers are the only remaining heraldic towers of Emperor Maximilian I. During the renovation in 1957/58, frescoes by court architect Jörg Kolderer (1502) were uncovered.
The upper town tower is decorated with the town seal - the Vöcklabruck coat of arms.
