The History of Beer Brewing in Upper Austria is documented at the unique Bräustüberl Museum. The market town of Raab has a deep and diverse brewing history dating back to the 16th century. The brewing industry has been affected profoundly by Upper Austria´s breweries around 1900, most particularly by the "Schatzl Brauerei".
