The filial church of St Michael ob Rauchenödt rises on a rocky outcrop to the east of the village of Grünbach.
The most remarkable feature of this two-aisled church is the late Gothic winged altar. Its shrine figures are St Michael and St Nicholas and St Stephen. The insides of the carved wings tell the legends of the saints depicted.
She is also available for guided tours of the church by appointment.
Mrs Rosa Exl is the sacristan of the St Michael's branch church.
Daily: From 9.00 - 18.00 and by appointment.
Open longer in the summer months; opening hours on request.
