The parish church of St. Oswald b. Fr. is dedicated to St Oswald and belongs to the Freistadt deanery in the diocese of Linz.

Due to its elevated position on the church hill, the beautiful Gothic building of the parish church in the centre of the Oswald basin comes into its own. Many ashlars from the earlier Romanesque church can still be seen in the outer walls of the choir and nave.

The Oswald Bronze Gate was erected at the tower entrance in 1989 and the Christ Bronze Gate in 1992.

Via the motorway from Passau or Salzburg or Vienna via Linz and continue on the A7 (Mühlkreisautobahn) to Unterweitersdorf and then on the Prager Bundesstraße via Freistadt to St. Oswald b.Fr. or Unterweitersdorf via Kefermarkt, Lasberg to St. Oswald b.Fr.
