Light Column

The "Light Column" is an ancient way of commemoration that almost fell into obliviont. The "Initiative for Krenglbach" has installed such an outstanding memorial in the year 2000.
The Light Column comprises four glass tablets that have been created by artist Franz Kohler in cooperation with the Stift Schlierbach Glass Workshops.
The glass tablets depict the following scenes:
-1000th Anniversary of Krenglbach´s first appearance in historical documents.
-Kapsamer Family - Rustic furniture painters - Carpenters - School lecturers.
-"Ländlergeiger" - Authentic Krenglbach tradition - Krenglbach Ländler country waltz.
-Anton Reidinger - Dialect poet and writer of the famous Austrian Christmas carol "Es wird scho glei dumpa" (The Twilight is Falling).
