Schlosspark Hagenberg

The spacious grounds surrounding Hagenberg Castle have beautiful floral gardens, old trees and shrubs, original hedges, and ornamental ponds.
The Castle Park has its origins as far back as 1848 when the owners enclosed an area for delightful landscaped gardens.
Today, the visitor can wander through the beautifully wooded and undulating grounds of Hagenberg Castle with its outstanding trees and plantations. There are 130 years´ old winter lime trees, copper beeches, oak trees, and different kinds of maple trees. What´s more, the south-facing foothill location favors the cultivation of rare exotic trees, such as robinia, gingko, katsur, hamlock and tulip trees.
