Theatre Phönix, which has been in existence since 1989, is one of the most important independent theatres in Austria. The repertoire includes contemporary plays, premieres and new adaptations of classics.

With a committed repertoire, a diverse acting ensemble and strong artists, the Phönix: occupies a prominent position in the Austrian theatre landscape.

In addition to innovative interpretations and adaptations of classical material and plays as well as contemporary drama, the promotion of and collaboration with contemporary authors and local artists is a major concern. Cooperations with cultural and educational institutions characterise the artistic profile as well as political independence.

Opening hours

Box office opening times:
For evening performances 1.5 hours before the start of the performance.
For morning and afternoon performances one hour before the start of the performance.

Reservations:
Mon-Thu 9 am-4 pm
Fri. 9 am-2 pm
except public holidays and Good Friday,
and during box office opening hours.

Collection:
During ticket office opening hours up to 30 minutes before the start of the event at the latest. After this time, the reservation loses its validity.
