The municipality of Gmunden wanted as special attraction in the city hall " Ceramic Glockenspiel" to attach leave. The own products were not suitable with all quality for bells. Thus one looked out for a cognate material. The play was then manufactured in Meißen at the famous porcelain factory and bemahlt with the Gmundner decoration. The bells hang in a loggia of the city hall front.
