The trout pond Gosau is fun for everyone. It is an insider for all fish lovers and those, who are getting there. You can catch your first fish and get an introduction in the life of a fisherman.

Good luck for fishing in the front Gosau valley

With a size of approx. 0.5 ha the trout pond lies directly at the beginning of the beautiful Gosau valley. With a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains from the Dachstein Salzkammergut, you can relax while fishing and enjoy the time with family, friends or simply with yourself.

There doesn't always have to be bright sunshine, because fishing on a rainy day is also a highlight for fishermen. There is also no age limit for this experience. Due to the good accessibility of the pond and the available seating, everyone can try their luck while fishing. Fishing routes can be borrowed directly on the spot. You don't need a license or fishing card. For beginners there is a short training or help with fishing.

Catching fishes

All caught trouts must be taken and bought (no resetting).

If the fish are taken home, they can also be vacuumed. This allows them to be transported safely and odourlessly.

We have collected more fishery hot spots on our Dachstein Salzkammergut Website.

Experience a 360° panorama tour through Gosau valley…

Fishing season: from May 1 to end of September the pond is opened daily from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
