An exhibition reports on the life of the poet and composer Johann Beer (1655-1700), who was born in St. Georgen im Attergau. Beer became particularly well known with his satirical poems, which are receiving increased attention. Recently, however, the value of his compositions has been rediscovered.

In a new exhibition, the finds from three Iron Age graves from the Dienstberg and Baumer Holz can also be seen alongside other archaeological finds from the Attergau.

Furthermore, a special exhibition about the teacher, natural scientist and teacher Prof. Erich Wilhelm Ricek (1915-1991), who lived in St. Georgen, is presented. He was primarily concerned with the botany of the Attergau, especially with spore plants such as fungi, mosses and lichens, as well as seed plants, and was a recognized collector of minerals. As a painter, Ricek created lifelike pictures of various plants and numerous landscapes in the style of miniature painting.
