The Linzerstraße one of the longest and gorgeous streets of down town Braunau.

Once the road to Linz the street housed several important businesses like the brewery Mayrbräu and was part of the city fortifications, which are partly visible up to this day. Over the century’s Braunau was always a contested city. The Iron Horse serves as a reminder for one of many sieges the citizens had to suffer. During and shortly after World War II these symbol was used as a target site. The bullet holes are still visible.
Today the Linzerstrasse welcomes its guest with shops, restaurants, wine bars and a bakery.
