The District Old Age and Nursing Home Grieskirchen has been newly constructed over a period of about 2 years and returned to Grieskirchen from the temporary accommodation in Bad Schallerbach on February 28, 2005.

The senior citizens of the district nursing home now have access to a modern, contemporarily equipped house with bright, friendly, and inviting rooms. All the very comfortably furnished living units are equipped with sinks, showers, and toilets; on each floor, there are additionally two care bathrooms. Of course, it is also possible to bring your own furniture. Particularly noteworthy are the large common areas on each floor, which provide residents as well as their relatives and visitors with the opportunity for cozy get-togethers. Furthermore, there are dedicated rooms for hairdressing services, podiatry, and physiotherapy. A spacious festival hall for events, a beautiful in-house chapel, and a small café in the reception area are additional very successful areas of the house.
