Motorik Park Gmunden

Gmunden, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Newly repaired and expanded!

22 years ago, the motor skills park in the Gmundner Auwald was a novelty because it differed significantly from other courses that primarily trained strength and endurance. Its creator, the decathlon star and sports scientist Dr. Georg Werthner, designed the stations and exercises in such a way that primarily a feeling of balance and the smoothness of all imaginable movement sequences could be improved.

After the hailstorm in June 2021, it was the city of Gmunden that rehabilitated the aging circuit, inspected and secured old trees that had been chipped and even had to relocate the course in some places. But since this week at the beginning of October 2021, the time has finally come: The motor skills park with 17 mostly new stations can be used again and invites you to free autumn exercise in the open air. The area has even become a little bigger overall. The municipality spent almost 30,000 euros on this.

How to get there:

The alluvial forest can be reached very quickly from the city center of Gmunden, both on foot and by bike.

The city bus stops of the line 512 "In der Au" and "Welfenstraße" are also very close.

Accessible all year round.
