The Pöstlingbergbahn is the steepest adhesion railway in Europe and leads to Linz's local mountain - the Pöstlingberg.
Get on board and enjoy a ride up Linz's local mountain. Thanks to the low-floor technology of the new carriages, you can comfortably use the Pöstlingbergbahn. For nostalgia fans, rides in the revitalized old car are offered depending on availability. At the destination, an impressive view over Linz and the grotto train with its fairy tale world and dwarf kingdom beckons.
With a length of 4.14 km, the Pöstlingbergbahn overcomes a difference in altitude of 255 meters in 20 minutes. The track width has been adjusted from 1,000 mm to 900 mm. In this way, the railway could be integrated into the network of Linz AG Linien without any problems and now runs to the main square
